The Machine is an ongoing discussion about the business of Photography, Filmmaking, Podcasting and Music featuring me, Adam Lerner, and my good buddy Larry Milburn.

USE CODE ADAM at http://squarespace.com/adam to get 10% OFF.

In Episode 004, Larry starts things off with a recent shoot where he had to overcome a challenging situation on a shoot and rather than get tweaked, he kept his cool.  We discussed how to stay calm and when you think there are no solutions, to find a workaround.  From there we discussed the importance of editing photos and shooting for the edit in video.

We also talk about the BrooklynPhotoWorks ThinkTank Giveaway, the Lab-Box, and the importance of a light meter.

Bullshit Contracts, Data Recovery, Copyrights - Good Stuff!

The Machine is an ongoing discussion about the business of Photography, Filmmaking, Podcasting and Music featuring me, Adam Lerner, and my good buddy Larry Milburn.

USE CODE ADAM at http://squarespace.com/adam to get 10% OFF.

In Episode 003, we mostly talk about contracts, copyrights and image usage.  With digital photography and social media, clients want unlimited usage of imagery but no longer want to pay for that privilege.  As photographers, we've had to adjust to that as there is no longer exclusivity.

We also talk about having a strategy for backing up and restoring your data and files on your computer.  My laptop died and I didn't really suffer because everything was backed up or on the cloud and easy to restore.

Interview With Max Hazan, Custom Motorcycle Builder!

Max Hazan of Hazan Motorworks builds one-of-a-kind motorcycles. They're art pieces. So much so that a couple of his bikes are on their way to an art gallery in Switzerland for an upcoming show. Max custom fabricates just about every component of his motorcycles, starting with a motor that often inspires the direction of the build.

I did a photo shoot of Max with his one-of-a-kind Harley Ironhead and afterwards, we sat down for a candid conversation about his mentality when it comes to building bikes and how he got into building bikes. The motorcycle he talks about in this video started as a Royal Enfield Bullet 500, and as you'll see and hear, he completely customized everything about it.

This is a rare opportunity to get inside the head of a true artist and understand the motivation and process behind building epic and unique motorcycles. Even though Max builds his motorcycles to be fully functional, but he prefers they be treated as art.
